It wasn't the turbo: they left tools in the engine bay

Brought the C6 to the dealer to get the strange noise looked at. They looked carefully in the engine bay and found 2 wrenches at the bottom of the bay, one lying on top of the gearbox, which thankfully did not cause damage.

Now the big question is if they left it there themselves when they replaces an EGR valve (no clue if that is at the bottom of the engine, or on top), or if it happened pre-import. Now just waiting for the anti-rust treatment, so no weekend trips this week :-S

Do you get to keep the tools? I would ask for them, or at least a discount on the repair.

was so confused for a minute.

When you said C6 I was thinking Corvette and then I saw the tag for the story.

I was thinking dude's got a turbo'd C6 Corvette!! NICE!

It's under warranty from the middleman we bought it from, he got it checked at this dealer after he imported it, so it should be free.

Second miss from the dealer in 2 months though, first forgot to replace a tube which caused the suspension to lose all its fluid (hydraulic suspension) and now this. Assuming that if you get a checkup done they check what the gearbox looks like .

If this shop is the cause of the problem I'd be looking at one of their competitors as soon as possible. Mistakes happen, but this seems amateurish.

Where did you import it from? Germany?

Yeah, maybe I should look for someone else, it's just that there are only 2 Citroen guys in Oslo (I think) and I didn't really like the attitude of the people in the other one. Driving to the Netherlands to get it serviced at the specialist my family uses is also not really an option.

The car indeed comes from Germany, so should be well-maintained.

Are there only two Citroën specialists in Oslo? That seems low. I know of more in my own town, which is much smaller than Oslo. I do live in the Netherlands.

In the city there are 4 split with 2 companies having 2 each and then thee are 2 independent ones a bit further out (15-25 km). So not necessarily far, just a toll road away.
